I am convinced that art is not limited to the creation of works. It also allows us to bring people together, to transmit knowledge, and to take action.

Throughout my career, my commitment as an artist has gradually expanded into a collective approach. By volunteering with several international associations and organizations, I discovered that the challenges artists face cannot be met alone. They require networking within civil society, with cultural partners, institutions, and citizens.

I choose to get involved in civil society organizations that prioritize democratic, horizontal, and transparent governance. For me, how an organization functions is just as important as the projects it undertakes. It is in these spaces of cooperation, where decisions are made collectively and where everyone can contribute, that I find the most meaning in my commitment.

Today, this commitment is structured around three priorities.

Defending the art of puppetry

The art of puppetry occupies a unique place in the cultural landscape, but still remains too often overlooked.

Together with the organizations I belong to, we work to improve the training, working and coordination conditions of artists, strengthen professional networks and promote the recognition of this art by institutions and the general public.

Beyond the shows, it is about defending a fully-fledged artistic discipline and enabling those who bring it to life to work in better conditions.

Building bridges between cultures

International cooperation is at the heart of my career.

With numerous partners in Europe and beyond, we develop residencies, artistic projects, training programs and exchanges that allow artists to work together despite borders.

These collaborations create spaces for dialogue where cultural differences become an asset. They foster encounters, mutual understanding, and the emergence of new forms of creation.

Supporting Ukrainian culture

The war in Ukraine has reinforced my conviction that culture is a key element of resistance.

Alongside numerous partners, I contribute to promoting Ukrainian creativity, supporting artists affected by the war, and preserving a threatened cultural heritage.

Shows, meetings, heritage projects, international cooperation or solidarity actions: each initiative helps to keep alive a culture that continues to exist, to create and to engage in dialogue with the world.

A conviction

I believe that civil society plays an essential role in building more open, more united and more creative societies.

Through the associations and organizations in which I participate, my commitment naturally extends my work as an artist: using culture as a space for cooperation, transmission and dialogue between people and nations.
