Who am I?

A puppeteer from Polish and Ukrainian immigration, living in Lyon, I have developed a varied professional career: director, performer, sculptor, teacher, artistic advisor and coordinator of cultural projects.

Trained in the history of theatre and cinema at the University of Rennes2, in the art of puppetry at ESNAM (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts de la Marionnette) and in the engineering of international cultural projects at Sciences Po Lyon, I work at the crossroads of disciplines and territories.

My goal is to promote the international circulation of works and ideas, through puppetry and other artistic languages such as poetry. My aesthetic oscillates between comedy, documentary theater, and more visual forms. My approach places particular emphasis on the staging of rare plays and on issues such as cultural diversity, cultural rights, and gender equality.

My career has led me to collaborate on numerous international projects in Europe, the Balkans, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.

Since the Maidan movements (2013–2014), I have been engaged in a process of discovery and cooperation around Ukrainian culture: creation of shows, residencies and collaborations with artistic teams in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipro and Mariupol. One of my creations related to Ukraine was co-produced by the IN of the World Festival of Puppet Theatres of Charleville-Mézières. Since 2024, I have also taught at several universities and art schools in Ukraine.

I am an active member of several professional organizations: Treasurer of UNIMA (International Union of Puppetry), international advisor to THEMAA (National Association of Puppet Theaters and Associated Arts), founding member of the Regional Collective of Puppeteers in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and of ESNAMienne, the association of former and current students of ESNAM.

Finally, I am committed to building a Franco-Ukrainian civil society through my role as head of the Culture division of the Lyon-Ukraine association.
