Main intercultural explorations:
Exploring Shadow Theatre in Bali
In April 2023, I had the privilege of participating in a masterclass on shadow theater and masks in Bali. This experience had a profound impact on me, challenging my perception of shadow theater, an art I have practiced for many years. The fusion of tradition and innovation by Balinese artists, as well as the elevation to a profound spiritual dimension, opened new horizons for me and enriched my understanding of this ancestral art.
Theatrical collaboration in the DRC
As part of the Francophonie in March 2018 and at the invitation of the French Institute of the Democratic Republic of Congo, I led a workshop with the Théâtre des Intrigants in Kinshasa on theatrical writing for young audiences. I was particularly struck by the gap in wealth and the difficulty of accessing cultural offerings.
Puppet project in Madagascar
At the invitation of the Cie des Zonzons in 2016, I went to Diego Suarez to stage short puppet scenes from Lolita Monga's texts as part of an artistic laboratory entitled Les Voix de la marionnette.
We discussed issues related to prostitution.
Celebration of traditional arts in Cameroon
In 2007, I accompanied Cameroonian artists and students for the organization of the Paroles d'Aïeux festival on traditional arts in central Cameroon.
I was welcomed by M'Vet players and I went to a village in Central Cameroon to meet the Chimpanzee Dance.
Artistic immersion in Sri Lanka
In 2006, the Alliance Française in Colombo invited me to work with Sri Lankan string puppeteers.
