Apple Valley - Marie-Pierre Cattino

show for young audiences from 8 years old

Text: Marie-Pierre Cattino ( Koïnè editions )

Director / puppets / performance: Clement Peretjatko

Puppet costumes: Eve Ragon

Language: French

Duration: 45 minutes

Synopsis:

Twan spots Ma crying in the forest. They decide to set off together to reach the Apple Valley their parents have designated as a haven of peace.

There, the straw hat shooter won't be able to reach them, and maybe even the moon will show itself to shine again!

But how can two children of six and eight years old find their way hidden by too many warpaths?

What if, from up there, between the stars and the rifle shots, an eagle, tired of the chaos of the adults, descended to dry their tears and take them under its wing?

“Transmitting a love of theatre to children…” : press article 2018 (Tunisia)

--------

Sensitive to the plight of children in times of conflict, Marie-Pierre Cattino wrote La Vallée aux pommes as a reconquest of the human race, between dream and nightmare, with lucidity and extreme tenderness.

After taking up this writing, Clément Peretjatko traveled with a team of French, Croatian and Kosovar artists to the puppet theatres in Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Ukraine, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tunisia, Egypt and the Czech Republic to continue developing this show.
